Its 31st December today and its 4.30Am in the morning and i just felt like waving good bye to a year which has been nothing less than a Hurricane.They say that destruction breeds creation,but thats just a saying ,destruction has its own after effects.2007 was full of chaos and panic too for reasons which i dont remember to list down here, however on the night of 31st dec 2007 i was just wishing that 2008 be a better year and now here i am writing about it.
To list down the happenings and mishappenings of this year let me begin with the Global arena ,this year saw one of the greatest disasters in the history of economic downfall as one of the worlds richest, largest and oldest bank collapsed on the ground leaving many investors with just crumbs to feed upon.Well that was just the beginnning and we all know what followed ,i can list down all the economic disasters but cant do it since this write up isnt meant to convey those stats.
With that we come to our own country, which we live in, the biggest tragedy of the year without any doubt (apart from the economic downfall)was the senseless act of attacking Mumbai by some people who dont even know the very purpose of their existence.This mishap brought in chaos and our relationship with our supposed neighbours has turned from sour to bitter.Political to economical ,we experienced all sorts of downfall.
Moving on from the country to my own arena,well this has a lot of things in store and readers of this article(who know me,obviously) will figure out what am talking about.to begin with the biggest disaster i failed in the very exam which i had high hopes on ,post clearing it would supposedly add value to my existence,wrote the exam once again and results awaited ,so let me keep my finger crossed.Then came a time when many of the people i knew departed one way or the other ,some went abroad ,some got married,some got married and went abroad,some got bored of me,some of them dont even know why they left(They are too dumb to figure that out),reasoning was not a criteria for them i guess ,they just went with the weather and well there are several other cases.Ultimately i landed in a place where i knew nobody ,my frequency did not match to any of them around me (i was substandard ,you could say that) and i was just put in situations which made me wonder and be amazed almost everyday for some reason.
Uncertainity throngs this year as well,to begin with my results ,to proceed with the global crisis ,some armed robbery ,some more terrorist attacks and to end with some more people leaving ,but this time i dont think its gonna bother me much on the last issue as i feel there are bigger issues which are worthy of a discussion or sh0uld be given a space in the column,whats gone is gone and nobody cares and moreover this time i am not even sitting and wishing for 2009 to be gala and good ,as one of my friends always says "If wishes were horses ,beggars would always ride on them" ,so as unanticipated the happenings of this year is ,i wish to remain uninformed.
